1911 Marshall 7nhp 13 ton General Purpose Traction Engine - Challenger

Supplied new to George Lucas of Shinfield, Berks, and was used for threshing and haulage work. By 1927, it has passed to Wm. Reynolds of Bedford and by 1942 was with S. C. Smith of Great Canford, Essex. It is known to have worked in London pulling down buildings damaged during the blitz. It was later sold for scrap, but reprieved from the cutter's torch and used for tree-pulling. Whilst performing such a task, the back axle became damaged. It is sprung both front and rear.
