The first owners of this engine were were Essex County Council who used it for hauling trailer loads of stone for road mending Then in 1934 Mr Smith, of Fakenham, Norfolk, bought the engine for use in a sawmill. In 1960, it passed into the ownership of Mr Walker from Scarborough, who converted it to a Showman’s Tractor and renamed it from "Pom-Pom" to “Rambler”.
